Who is a Soft Sell Internet Marketer and What Do They Need?
Who Is a Soft Sell Marketer?
Think of it this way. Imagine a stock broker. When his client gives him a check – say for $ 100 – that clients expects his $ 100 back plus more money, as much more money as possible. That's a dollars-for-dollars exchange – otherwise know as an ROI, a Return on Investment.
But now imagine you re married and having a problem in your relationship. So you go to a marriage counselor for help and receive a suggestion – a relationship strategy – that works. Your marriage is better.
Now you give that counselor a check for $ 100. Do you expect to get your $ 100 back plus more?
You may make more money later, as a result of your improved marriage, but the exchange between you and the counselor is not about ROI. It's about what we call ROE – a Return of Experience – or Soft Sell marketing.
One more question. When you look across the entire commercial landscape, what percentage of sales transactions are ROI and what percentage are ROE?
It does not take much calculation to recognize that the VAST majority of transaction are ROE.
But since the Internet has become a burgeoning marketplace the products that have dominated the marketing and selling belong in the ROI category so that Soft Sell marketers have felt like second-sisters.
And yet, as more and more people enter the Internet market, they bring their products and services that are definitely of the ROE kind.
But until now, the inherent value of the ROE transaction has not been recognized and, as a result, not valued. But, again, the ratio of ROE Soft Sell products is far greater than the ROI and will always be.
So what do Soft Soft marketers need? Recognition of the value they bring to the Internet marketplace as well as a way to gather and communicate with other ROE marketers – to share ideas, develop affiliate and joint venture relationships, learn about the most effective and cutting edge strategies and tactics to advance their marketing Internet presence.
Their time has come!
And as with all kinds of marketing you can choose to market in a hard-sell way or be a heart-sell or soft-sell marketer who prefers a more inclusive, emotionally connected, business relationship with your prospects and customers.
