The Importance of Email Marketing
Some people do not realize how important email marketing is.
First, let’s look at an example; you have someone buy a product from you. They only buy one product, even though you offer ten different products. After about a week, the customer sends you an email letting you know that the product that they bought from you was great!
Well, that person that just emailed with that awesome comment about your product could possibly buy more from you. So what path do you choose? Do you reply with a link to your website or do you just delete the email?
Hopefully you at least reply with a “Thanks” at the very least 🙂
If you did nothing, you made the wrong choice. This person took the time to let you know that you have a great product, and potentially could order again from you.
Now if you replied with a “thanks” and then gave your link to your website, they will more than likely visit your website again. Of course you shouldn’t wait for your customers to contact you, but you should be contacting them. Sending out weekly emails is a great way to get customers to come back and order from you again and again.
So what should you include in your emails that you send out? Here are a few ideas:
– a weekly newsletter or a weekly tip
– any and ALL sales/promotions that you have going on
– a quick note to just say thanks for ordering
