The Best Internet Marketing School – A Student’s Review
I had never sold any products online before, let alone building a professional looking website. As the Internet is the largest shop in the world, I thought it was about time to get involved and make the most of it.
I didn’t want to risk signing up for a year so I went for the monthly subscription option.
As soon as I subscribed and had access to the site I was not disappointed and soon realised everything I needed was there. And even a few months down the track, I’m still learning and soaking up everything the Internet Marketing course has to offer. There is a HUGE amount of information and to stop you getting over-whelmed, there is a step by step “Getting Started” program that you can pace yourself with.
Firstly, you learn about how to find a niche product, or a niche where you can provide a product. Initially, it’s advisable to get your feet wet promoting someone else’s product if you don’t have your own. You can try many different techniques and see what you enjoy doing and what works. It’s trial and error and can be frustrating but if you keep working at it, you’ll get there. Patience is required early on, but as you learn more, it becomes easier.
With the Keyword Tool I soon worked out my initial ideas weren’t so great. Being able to find out whether your product keywords were popular or searched for at all was a huge time and money saver.
All the various marketing techniques are thoroughly explained. There are numerous written and video tutorials on every possible topic. Forum members post their own experiences and give cutting edge advice so you are not alone.
A great way to start promoting your product online is writing articles and it costs you only the time it takes to write. There is no chance of blowing the budget here. You will learn how to use keywords within the articles so the search engines can get the latest relevant information and put you on their search pages. Your newly built website will attract NO TRAFFIC if it is not promoted. The search engine companies want freshly written articles so that’s what you provide them with.
If you have a budget then this is a good option. It’s a more “hands off” approach. Potential customers typing in your product keyword arrive at the search page and see your advertisement. If they click on it, you pay. The amount you pay depends how popular the keyword is. You may not want to start with something like “weight loss options” unless you have deep pockets. More like “weight loss options for young kids” may be a better start. It’s a case of narrowing down your target audience so you have a better chance of selling to them.
The amount you pay for advertising each day can be capped so you don’t overspend. For instance, you may pay for 50 clicks per day at 10 cents a click. That’s $5 a day budget. You want those clicks to convert for you so the website (or landing page) they go to has to be optimised for making sales.
If you can put together a word document and cut and paste some pictures, then building a website will not be a problem. This popular marketing school provides you with an included website builder, with templates to make it even simpler. You should be able to put together a site over a few hours. There are options to put together other site options in 1/2 an hour. You will require a domain name, which will be relevant to your product and this is an inexpensive (free options available) and quick procedure. Website Hosting is included with your subscription so there is no barrier to getting started. This is what used to put so many people off, but nowadays it is easy to whip up a professional looking site.
If you are selling a product as an affiliate, your website will have a link for potential customers to click on and go to the merchants site. If they go ahead with a purchase, you get a set commission.
This is a just a simple snapshot of one area that the school I belong to – Wealthy Affiliate University, shows you how to go about, and more importantly, how to be successful at.
You won’t regret signing up, even if it is only for an intensive one month of study.
