Planning Out Your Blog
It does not matter what sort of blog you are going to be creating, you should always have some sort of plan, rough or detailed. It saves so much time when your blog is online to have a plan which you can look back to, rather then just doing something different every day. You should always create a basic or detailed plan on your blog containing the following:
* What's your blog about?
* Where are you going to get your traffic from?
* Where are you going to get content from?
* Where are you going to get sources / new ideas for content from?
* How are you going to earn money from your blog?
These are some of the key things which you need to plan out before you even start to work on your blog. You should write down about your blog, for example what it's all about before you start to work on it because then you can look back and make sure your not going off topic too much.
You need to know where your going to get traffic / content / ideas from, it's the worst thing ever when you finally have a good blog running, a few months of work gone in to it, then you've a few 100 unique hits each day, then you run out of content and have no idea what to write about. I personally have a little notepad on my desk so when I get a new idea for a article, I just write it down so I remember it.
You may also want to plan out where your going to be hosted, how much are you going to pay each month, are you going to invest in SEO services and what not. I suggest you plan out your blog as much as possible and try to stick to the plan, this means your blog will be running smoothly from day one, you will not run into many issues with content / traffic if you stick to your plan, supplying it's a researched plan.
