Passionate Blogging – Some Tips For Bloggers And Writers
Have you ever read a blog who’s author shows no passion? If you are going to blog, show some life! You should strive to blog with a passion! You should not blog unless you have strong enthusiasm for your topic. When you blog with a passion, it shows. I will give you a few tips that will help you become a better passionate blogger.
Let your personality shine through!
When you write your blog articles, you should let your personality shine through. How would you explain your topic to your readers? Write in the same way that you would speak to your reader base that reads your blog.
Write with passion!
It’s my personal opinion that you should not blog if you don’t have any enthusiasm for your topic. If you are burned out, stop right now. Delete your blog’s database from your server and back slowly away from the keyboard. You need to show us some passion when you write! When I write my blog articles, I know my topic and I am very excited about it. One great way to show your passion for your topic is to give your readers the old sugar rush: Talk up their blogs! Don’t tell ’em how great your blog is. Tell them how engrossing you find their first-class articles, express to them how your tips will promote their dazzling blogs right into the Technorati Top 100 ratings! Now THAT’S passion! You have got to have passion! Don’t be a dead blogger. Show some life folks!
Use those descriptive adjectives!
When you are blogging, you need to use those descriptive adjectives. Use positive and negative adjectives in your blog articles. You will connect with your readers’ emotions. This is especially true if you are writing blogging tips, as I do. Talk to your readers about how much their blogs will be improved, using positive descriptive adjectives like fabulous, splendid, superlative, revolutionary, dazzling, spectacular, unprecedented. You get the idea. Focusing your readers’ emotions on their blogs will connect with them in a very personal way. This is called the sugar rush, and it is potent. It captures the attention of your readers and it gets them all excited and passionate about what you have to say.
You can also use negative descriptive adjectives to appeal to fear. This is a very useful strategy if you are writing a post with a negative slant. Let me tell you something about that negative slant. Articles that use headlines with a negative slant are the kind that tend to get Dugg to Digg’s front page. If your article gets dugg, you can receive 10,000 to 50,000 unique hits to your blog inside of a week. There’s a good reason that newspapers print a lot of bad news: Negative headlines sell. Bad news will capture your readers’ attention fast. The trick is to suggest that if they don’t read your life-changing tips, that their blog will be a LOSER! When you use negative slants in that way, you will capture the attention of your readers because they don’t want a negative outcome. They will read your article to find out what they need to do to make their blog a winner!
Offer your opinion on a topic!
Blogs are all about discussion. Be very, very opinionated! Offer your opinion in your articles, and ASK your readers how they feel about the matter. Why would you want to stir up opinions on your blog? Well, blogs are discussion stimulators. The more you ask people for their opinions, the more passionate they will become, and the more readers you will attract. You want people to talk about you in the blogosphere. Ask ’em for their opinions on a topic, it brings out their passions, and you will receive more comments, and attract still more readers, and your blog will be perceived all the more as a passionate blog. Stir that pot! Cook up more passion!
Speak with Authority!
You should not blog on a topic if you don’t know about it. You’d better research it thoroughly first. I spent nearly two years reading every blog about blogging tips and also every offline book I could find about blogging tips before I ever started my blog. I have always been fanatical about blogging ever since blogs appeared on the Internet.
But even with all that knowledge, I still read at least 10 to 20 blogs a day, close to 150 blogs per week, and I still purchase books about blogging and read them several times. Why do I do all this? I love my topic, and I am full of passion about blogging!
If you understand your topic, you’ll write with Authority. It will show in your writing. You’ll be able to answer your readers’ questions on your blog and in the social networks. If you don’t know the answer, admit that you don’t and then research it for your reader! Don’t make them go elsewhere! They took the time to read your blog, they commented on your article and they asked you a question. Take the time to research for them, then write them an article and email your reader when you do. I guarantee you, your subscription base will increase and you will have learned more and you will be seen as an authority in your niche. Your readers will then act as small and large communications channels for your blog and will evangelize your blog and expertise across the blogosphere and greater Internet.
When you blog with strong passion and leverage your article with descriptive adjectives, offer opinions and write with authority, the overall result will be that your blog will be perceived as a passionate, vibrant resource in your niche and you will find that your community of readers will increase and advocate your blog across the Internet. Your expertise will be sought by thousands of readers and you will be asked to guest blog on other blogs. You will be well on your way to blogging greatness and excellence and you will soon attain A-List status in the blogosphere.
