Online Marketing For Beginners Overview Part 6
In the past few articles, I covered how to get traffic to your website. In this article, I am going to explain what to do when you get a prospect or lead.
First of all, let's say somebody on Facebook ask you, "What is it that you do?" In this example let's say that you are in a network marketing company (MLM) that sells nutrition products. You could tell that you are running a business that helps people get healthy.
Make sure you do not send a link to the person. You should ask before you send any links. You can describe or tell them some of the testimonials you have, but do not send a link. The end of your message you can say This how you send messages with spamming people.
Now, let's say you look in your autoresponder system and see you have an opt-in or sign-up. What do you do now? Do you just let the autopresonder send them emails?
My suggestions would have to contact them personally. If you are good talking on the phone then call them, but make sure you are not reading a script. People will be so turned off by that. If you have to read a script, practice it over and over again until you have it memorized. You will sound natural, and your leads will connect with you more.
If you are not good at talking on the phone, then send a personal email. The subject could be, confirming Your Information. You can say in the body of the email, I noticed that you have an interest in whatever online business you are marketing. Here is the information I have on you.
After you tell the person the information you have, let them know how excited you are about the business and offer them help. Tell them to add you to Skype, and offer to get together to answer any questions.
You can also ask if they would prefer a phone call, and if so email me your number with the best time to reach you. Make sure you check the time zones. You do not want to call them at 10:00 am your time, but it is actually 7:00 for them. You would definitely be starting on a bad note.
This brings me to the end of the overview series. In the next series of articles, I will be going into detail about each step.
