List Building Secrets – How Do You Build a List Outside the Internet Marketing Niche?
How does one build a list outside the known realm of Internet marketing niche? This is an important question. Building a list in non Internet marketing circles often means you will have lesser competition in the email inbox of your subscribers. So, how do you build a profitable list outside of the Internet marketing niche?
The basic steps involved are pretty much the same. You still need a landing page, you still need an autoresponder to generate leads and send emails to them, and you still need traffic to build a list.
First of all, I want to say that your landing page might have to be bit different from what you might usually do in the Internet marketing niche to generate a good response. People outside of marketing are not too keen on hard sales tactics, so that is definitely something to think about.
Now, the biggest difference when it comes to marketing outside the IM niche is obviously the ‘style’ of marketing. You have to have a different voice to appeal to people in niches like weight loss, parenting, golfing etc. All these niches will require a different kind of ‘voice’ to achieve greater results in your email marketing efforts. If you come off as a car sales man in the parenting niche, for example, that’s not going to go down well with people.
Also, different traffic methods work better for some niches than it does for others. Teenagers are not likely to read articles all that much, they would typically prefer to watch videos or hang out at social networking sites. So you might want to direct your marketing towards video sites and social networking sites if you are targeting that niche, as an example.
