List Building – Praise Your Way to a Bigger List
Are you having difficulties selling your online products & services? Would you like to have more customers to market to greatly increasing your opportunity to make more sales?
What you need is a larger list to market to. Having a large online list of targeted followers is as good as gold to online marketers. The question is how can you grow your list and not only add just any followers but targeted followers, people that have an interest in the types of products & services you have to offer.
There are a lot of list building techniques, which I've sent to teleseminars talking about, but the one I want to mention in this article is one of the more creative ways to add targeted followers to your list.
You're probably saying, "tell me already Doug." Sorry for the suspense. The list building technique I'm referring to is giving testimonials on other peoples Facebook fan pages, or their blogs. When using this technique with blogs you can also include your website in your testimonial. Make sure you do not include your website when posting a testimonial on someone elses Facebook fanpage. There's an unspoken rule against including websites on somebody else's Fanpage from what I'm told. Even without including your website address people should be able to find you on the internet if they see an intriguing comment on someone else's blog or fanpage.
How does that get you targeted followers, people who will be interested in what your business has to offer? It's all in whose Facebook fan page or blog you decide to post a testimonial on. You're looking for people that are top experts in your niche or in a related niche.
You may already know the people or businesses that are more established than you to use this list building technique on. If not use Google or your search engine of choice to find these businesses. Their clientele are going to have an interest in what you have to offer that your gaining exposure in front of a targeted audience.
As for what you will say in your Facebook fan page or blog post I can give you a couple pieces of advice. Your testimonial should be as sincere as you can make it, and do not try to sell anything. That's a biggie. This is not a promotion of your products or services, this is a testimonial. If you do this enough and always include your website you'll get people's interest to see what you're about.
That's how you promote your way to a bigger list.
