Furthermore, you can add rhythm to your songs depending on the duration and frequency of your strums (controlled by your right hand).
This is when you discover and develop your own style of playing the guitar and composing music. You learn about your preferences between major and minor, fast or slow, and so on. The more you learn and the more you practice, the more unique you will be in playing the guitar!
If you feel comfortable with strumming go ahead and start picking! This is a technique where you pluck each guitar string separately. If you master this, you can create really complex compositions, especially after you learn where all the notes are located on the fretboard. Moreover, you'll be able to play any of your favorite songs on the guitar with ease!
