Internet Marketing Tips – Product Creation Disaster Story
I consider myself a successful Internet marketer. I make a 6 figure a year income and I support my family with it. But let me tell you…I’ve have made some duds in my day too. I am going to share with you a personal product creation disaster story so that you don’t make the same mistakes that I made. I hope that you will read this and take this advice to heart.
I was into fortune telling a long time ago. It wasn’t something serious, but it was fun and I enjoyed it. I came up with my own idea for telling the future. I created the book and all the bonus material for it. I then created the sales page and everything else I needed to sell the product.
Now, let me back up for a second. This product was going to teach people how to tell the future using this new method that I invented. I figured that there were people into this stuff so why not give it a shot? So I did. Well, one thing I didn’t count on was what happened when I released this product.
See, what I didn’t do was my research. I didn’t look to see if people WANTED to learn how to tell the future using a new method. After all, we already had Tarot Cards, Astrology, Numerology and a lot of other things. Well, what I discovered was that people didn’t want to do the work. They wanted to just have their futures told for them.
My product was almost a complete dud. I made a few sales, but all the work I had put into it was essentially for nothing.
Okay, so what’s the lesson to be learned here? It’s very simple. Don’t create products that people don’t want. Do your research first. Make sure that there is a demand for what you want to sell. Otherwise, you will end up doing what I did…putting in a lot of work into something that doesn’t sell.
And that is the last thing that ANYBODY wants.
To YOUR Success,
