If you’re an Internet marketer, like I am, you get birthdays. In fact, I am celebrating mine as we speak. Well, in this article, I’m going to give you some tips on how to celebrate YOUR birthday and even make money at it at the same time. This is something I used to do quite regularly but skipped this year because I was just too busy with other things. But this stuff works like gangbusters if you’re willing to put in a little work on your big day. Keep reading to find out my secrets.
First thing you’re going to need, in order to really pull this off well, is a list. Now, if you don’t have one, that’s okay. You can still make this work through other promotional means. But with your own list, it works like gangbusters. Okay, so just what are you going to do with your list? Well, you’re going to send them an email telling them that it’s your birthday but THEY are the ones who are getting the gift. They’re going to immediately think that they’re going to get something special.
That’s when you unleash your offer on them. It can be one of a variety of things. I’ve found success with many tactics. For example, you can offer a 2 for 1 sale. In other words, they buy one of your products and they get the second one free. Now, maybe they were on the fence about buying your products anyway but with a 2 for 1 sale, it’s a no brainer for them now. I can’t even begin to tell you how many sales you’ll get when you make offers like these.
Another thing you can do is offer 7 days free for one of your membership sites. Again, maybe they were on the fence about joining. Now, with 7 days to try it out, there is no risk. And then, if they find that the membership is of real value to them, after the trial period is over, they just might sign up as a paid member. Then, if you really want to give them a birthday treat, let them have the first month at half price. Watch the sales come pouring in.
Finally, and this is the most important tip of all, make sure you answer all the emails you get from people wishing you a happy birthday. It’s very important to keep a personal relationship with those customers and prospects who want one. And when you DO respond to them, there is nothing wrong with having a PS in your signature with some kind of special offer.
