Internet Marketing Tips – Articles, Blogs and Contributions: The ABC's of Online Marketing Success
Are you interested in more website traffic? Would you like the people who do visit you to be interested in what you have to offer before they even get to your website? Would you like to know a few key strategies to achieve this tactic?
Well, then you are in luck, because we're going to explore three essentials to success in promoting a business online in this article. These techniques work wherever you have a fully online business or a "real world" business with an online presence. This is not the whole list of what can be done, but we hope that it is a solid foundation for you to start on, or perhaps to restart on.
Technique A: Articles
Yes, writing and publishing articles to various article websites, e-zines and private locations really does work. After all, you are reading an article now, are not you? Why? Because articles are very useful and educational and must be written to be genuinely helpful to you, the reader, or they will probably not be accepted by the directories.
So what makes them so powerful? Well, for one, once they go live, articles are online forever and will continue to attract new attention as well as repeat readers. Second, the more popular an article gets, the more the site where it is hosted will generally promote it for you. Third, you are allowed to link back to another website, thereby creating a continuation of interest and a quality back link. Fourth, search engines love articles and index them all the time, and if they are connected to you, so much the better. Fifth, articles are free to publish. Although you may have to pay a writer to create them for you, the publishing and promotion of an article is free.
Oh yes, and let's not forget the sixth reason articles rule: other people can post them to their own websites, so creating more opportunity for your writing to get read and givesmore back links to your websites.
Technique B: Blogs
Blogs are fairly similar in effect to articles. They are free to post, are indexed by search engines, and can be syndicated like articles. The differences tend to be that blogs are less formal and can be much more intimate.
Blogs also offer a better opportunity for immediate interaction from the reader. Readers can comment on each post and each other's posts. This can not only be a great way to build a small blog community, but it gives you the blogger a continuous stream of ideas to work with. And of course, they are linked to where you want them to be.
Technique C: Contributions
This might seem like a bit of a repeat. Because, blogging and article writing are forms of content contribution. But what we are referring to here is something a bit different. There are lots of ways to contribute, including writing both blogs and articles.
When we say contributing, though, we mean offering these writings, videos or images to private webmasters, e-zines or online news sources. If you can find and contribute useful information for those seeking content, you can greatly enhance your own standings, both in the eyes of the web surfer and the search engines as well.
Some good examples of being a sponsor are writing articles or blogs for e-zines, newsletter and private sites. Actively participating in discussion forums and user groups relevant to what you do. You may also be a person who comments on others' blogs, videos, articles, discussion threads and the like. Remember, that when doing this, you want to provide really useful input and you will be allowed to put a link back to yourself.
So why are these three things good? Why did we only mention these for now? Well, because sometimes it's easy to get overwhelmed and try to do too much at once. And really, for long term "free" and quality results, these three things are at the top of the internet marketing list. They're permanent, generally, and highly effective.
There are a lot more marketing strategies, but for now, if you just use these three on a regular basis, you will see some surprises and continuously growing results. And what is perhaps best of all, the traffic that these three ABC's create is highly targeted because the person who clicks one of your links is already well aware of you and what you do and wants to know more. It's like a virtual referral. So start instituting these right away and have some fun doing it. Good luck!
