Internet Marketing Strategy – Is It Different From Traditional Marketing?
Internet marketing strategy or E marketing strategy has different characteristics from traditional marketing. There are many differences in fact, but we will focus on the 3 big ones here.
1) Structure of Sales Funnel – The process is to create a funnel system that brings prospective customers into your sales environment. Start way out on the edge with videos, article, etc. and come right into the sales page to complete the sale. There is a large drop in interested prospects as you reach the middle, but those left will be focused and motivated to buy. This turns out to be a big numbers game with hundreds of tire kickers turning into one or two qualified buyers.
2) Passive Advertising – The funnel is fueled by passive advertising. You will be adding to that through your offers of information. You will be laying out your sales ads, like magazines in a doctor's office. As people become interested in what they want, your information will be there waiting for them. Once you have put your information out for viewing, there is very little left to do.
3) Customer Relationships – Your customers will be looking for you. The internet is full of information on just about any subject. As your customers start looking for the product or answers they seek, they will be typing in the key words of a search. Those key words are very important as you will be using them to label you site. As the customer sifts through everything their search found, they will find your information and begin to watch or read it. Once they are interested in what you have to show them, they will then head for your site.
Internet marketing strategy or E marketing strategy can be different to approach. But once you get a handle on how it works, it can be a really fun way to make a living. Understanding the basics of internet marketing can help you in your marketing efforts.
