Internet Marketing – Put on the Jets – It's the Only Way
Internet marketing can be very confusing when you first come online. Information comes at you from so many different angles, and you do not know who to trust. Plus, you feel overwhelmed, like you'll never learn it all nor get anything done. But you will.
In my case, there was no choice. Before I became this Internet marketing person, I was a hypnotherapist, seeing ten clients a day, six days a week. Thought I was making more money than I ever had in my life, I was still paying a lot of it out for college loans and other things and still living pretty tight, even though my business was successful. Now, I was not a good money manager, but because I'd figured out some marketing techniques, I had more business than I could handle by myself, and that was pretty cool.
But here's the interesting part. Each of my clients took an hour, except when someone showed up late and I'd have to run over 15 minutes, making the next person wait. Doing a good job sometimes meant that I'd need more than an hour with a client, too. I ran the business that way, but I tried to stick to a schedule. Then, sometimes, I did not write an appointment down because I thought I'd remember it and what happened? I looked like a jerk.
Then, I started keeping an extremely detailed schedule. Telephone numbers went in beside clients' names, and my watch had a quiet alarm that went off every 60 minutes, so I knew when my time with someone was up. When I started doing those things, two very important things happened. First, I was able to see two more clients a day, and that was strictly hypnosis business.
In fact, adding those two simple elements to my job created a powerful dynamic. And this is where it really got powerful for me. When you have a client-based business like that, you sometimes have people who just do not show up. So, I had a computer set up in my office. About 15 minutes of After, when the I the realized That the client was not coming, the I Had 45 minutes to focus on Internet marketing , Which the I Had by just become interested in the I Because by wanted to take my business online hypnosis. I had written a list of very specific tasks that needed to be finished in order for me to begin to earn money online, and that included learning. I also scheduled in 45 minutes for educational time.
At first, I only took the 45-minute intervals when I had people that did not show up. I had some Internet marketing CDs that I needed to get thorough and this list of things I needed to do. I would usually schedule in action time for the things I had learned the day before, so I would do that in the 45 minutes I had. If it was to make a list building page, Bam! Done. If it was writing an email for the autoresponder. Bang! Finished. Whatever Internet marketing task I had from the day before, I just did it.
I had scheduled it in. I gave myself a specific time to accomplish a specific task. Then, after I started to make some money with Internet marketing, I'd schedule in 2 hours a day and only 9 clients, one hour for Internet marketing education and one for implementation. Then, I took only 8 hypnosis clients and did three hours of Internet marketing a day.
The key is in getting yourself some kind of timer and sticking to it. If you do not put some kind of pressure on yourself, even if it slight pressure, you just will not get things done as efficiently. You want to focus on speed and getting things done. Get your business up and running. The only one stopping you is you.
