Internet Marketing – How to Advertise Offline Part I
There are a great number of people involved in internet marketing who do not know how to advertise offline. When they advertise their products they stick to pay per click campaigns, search engine optimization or perhaps ezine advertising and submissions to website directories. However, they completely ignore all forms of offline advertising.
Why is this? Do they feel that offline advertising is only for offline businesses, or that it might not reach a wide enough audience? Let’s face it, before the internet existed there was ONLY offline advertising. So why assume that it is suddenly unproductive all of a sudden? If you don’t believe that offline can do much for an online business, let us consider some of the offline techniques that the best internet marketers regularly use to promote their products and their businesses.
First there is local advertising in such places as sports clubs and gyms. If your product is health or fitness related why should you not advertise in your local gym? If you are promoting a physical product you could give your address as the outlet at which customers can pick up their goods after ordering by telephone. Or you could carry out local deliveries. A simple poster in every health and fitness club in your area could bring you in some good business.
Many of these clubs allow you to put up a poster free, but if they charge it is rarely a large amount compared to other internet marketing costs. Keep in mind that every new customer of the club is also a potential new customer for you, so the clubs are doing your advertising for you! You could do the same with any other advertising methods that people use such as postcards in shop windows or supermarkets, and why not promote your golf training aids in your local golf club?
