Internet Marketing and List Building- If You Don’t Get It, Quit Now
People who are new to Internet marketing have many different money-making opportunities stuck in front of their eyes. Some of them are pretty good programs, at least for a while. Other programs are just so-so, and you have to watch that the people that own them aren’t the only ones making any real money. The last category is pure Internet marketing scamola. Run, don’t walk, away from them.
But let’s say that you find a quality program and you join it, and you’re building a downline, and you’re making some money. You’re probably really excited about it, even kind of gung-ho. Right? But think about it. Should you really be putting all of your eggs into one basket? Should you be building this huge downline of people that you can’t email for any reason outside of the company’s business?
You can. But, what happens when you’ve spent all your time and effort in building up this Internet marketing business, and you’re even making money. An income even. Super! Except for one thing…
What if that Internet marketing business fails? I’m not saying that it will, but it happens a lot. Many programs don’t even last a full year. Then what? Then, you’re back at square one, with no income and no list.
Internet marketing newbies and not-so-newbies who haven’t gotten it, don’t understand that the only thing that will keep your business working and growing is a huge list and that you should be list building with every single thing you do. You have to have a group of people behind you that believe in you, that trust in you, and that like your style. When you have that, you have a certain percentage of people who will buy from you every time. It won’t be the same people or the same percentage, but you will make money, even when your Internet marketing program fails.
For instance, let’s say you’ve built a list of around 10,000 people. The MLM or network marketing program that you put so much faith in dies, and what happens to you? Nothing at all. Now, a portion of your income is gone, but you still have a list. You can develop your own product to sell and you can sell other people’s products, as an affiliate, and still have money coming in. The people on your list protect you. Just how powerful is list building then?
So, if you’re an Internet marketing newbie, my best advice to you is to forget all the hype. It will not keep you in business. Only list building will keep you in business. If you aren’t doing it now, you should be, so get started today! I have a great program that will teach you the step-by-step method for building your business list, and it’s a very quick way to get started.
But whatever you do, whether you check out my program or someone else’s, do it today. But if you aren’t going to start list building, don’t buy one more ebook, one more piece of software, not one more home-study course. Stop now! If you aren’t list building, you won’t succeed and you’re just wasting your time and money. That’s the bottom line.
