If You Could Live Your Life Again, Would You Choose a Different Career Path?
If you could live your life again is there anything you would do differently? I don’t want you to stir up regrets but in a positive way maybe you can change your future. Are you totally happy with your lot? Decisions are easier to make in retrospect aren’t they? Would you choose the same career, the same industry: would you live where you are living?
Sometimes it is fun and a useful exercise to actually ask yourself a series of questions like these and get some gut reactions. Now you obviously cannot turn the clock back and change everything, but you might surprise yourself with some ideas that you could consider for the future. After all you now have years of experience and probably know yourself better and what your preferences are, compared with when you embarked on your adult life and your first job.
Over the years, life and experience changes us, opportunities change also our views on life. So now that you have given the whole area some thought are there any restless stirrings that make you want to explore something new in some areas of your life?
I have just typed into Google: “what business should I set up online, what experience do I need” to find 844,000.000 other people had just done the same! Have you ever considered setting up an internet business and working at home?
If you set it up now as a part-time hobby business you could expand it in the future. It won’t happen overnight and will need some research and planning.
There are various things you could do online but a simple starting point is affiliate marketing. This involves sending traffic to other people’s products and getting paid for doing it. No need for a website you can use your mentors web pages to direct traffic to, with your own affiliate link, unless you prefer to have your own website. You just learn the marketing techniques.
A mentor will make setting up online much easier as you will be working to a proven plan. You need to find an established mentor, with a good range of desirable products and good training to give you a faster start. You will know therefore you have chosen a profitable niche. Research their background and look for recommendations and you will be following a proven path.
Traffic is the main technique you have to learn, there are many books and free webinars on the subject. To start you off here are some books I found useful:
“Thank God its Monday” by Charles Cameron and Suzanne Elusor A book that offers advice for making your current job more rewarding and giving you more job satisfaction – could even be helpful to help the transition to your new venture.
“SEO step by step” by Caimin Jones.
“500 Social Media Marketing Tips” By Andrew Macarthy
“Profitable Social Media Marketing” by Tim Kitchen and Tashmeem Mirza
“Teach Yourself Facebook” by Sherry Kinkopg Gunter
“Faceboo for Business” by Bud E Smith.
“Email Persuasion” by Ian Brodie
And if you need a new laptop “Microsoft Windows 8 Made Easy” by James Stables. Or there are some very good reconditioned Windows 7 Available.
