How To Write Email Without SPAMMING
Many times I get emails from business owners with links to their websites and not enough content. Headlines are great but if you content is not beneficial to your prospect then you have wasted your time !!
A lot of people that I speak to state that they HATE reading long text on an email. Long text that speak no benefit and seem to be SPAM. On the other hand I come across emails that are very short and have one or two lines that are PITCHY !! Some emails that I get, I can tell the person that wrote it wants my CREDIT CARD BAD to make that sale !!
Email marketing absolutely WORKS if it is done correctly. There is nothing wrong with long content and a few links directing you to a website that is relevant to the email. There are a lot of people that state that no one opens email anymore and it does not work anymore. In fact BAD EMAILS do not work because everyone can see SPAM all over it, but GOOD emails are read everyday.
A GOOD HEADLINE and GOOD content will bring you massive opens and clicks to your website. But not many people know how to write an effective email to get their prospect to open and read. The truth is, it's not their fault because most were taught to BLAST YOUR LIST. What does that mean? Write an email that speaks with no benefit and very sales PITCHY! This is why most people sat email marketing does not work but in fact does work.
You need to understand that an email is a SALES LETTER of your product and / or service. This letter should not explain your product in detail but peek your prospects interest.
The first step is coming up with an effective HEADLINE. Try headlines that are "How To", "Secrets Of", "5 Ways To", "Give Me 5 Minutes And I'll" and "Warning" are just some of the few that I use. All of these examples have your prospect curious to open. When you write a Headline, ask yourself "Would I Open This?"
The next step is your content and make sure your headline is in your body. Yes, this step is missed by most people. You have to make it look like a newspaper article, the Headline is in the article. You have to keep your reader interested to keep reading your sales letter. If you follow these next few guidelines, your reader will not scheme through your letter or fall sleep.
- Headline on the subject and on the top of the body of your email.
- Discuss the issues your prospect maybe going through right now.
- Then discuss the benefits of your product and / or service.
- Use phrases that will make your reader laugh and keep their interest.
- Tell a story about your experience or if you are new, use someone else's.
- Last, CALL OF ACTION !! (direct them to a website)
If you write your sales letter in this order you will get a much higher rate rate and click through to your website. Remember if long content was not read read More Article's would not work. More and more people are reading articles everyday about products, services and "How To's".
