How To Write Blog Articles – A Simple Step By Step Blog Writing Outline
Due to the fact that there are hundreds of blogs being created every “SECOND” online, it can be difficult to compete for traffic. However, it’s also a good thing that blogs are being created by the millions every day. You see, not all web blogs will become successful in today’s online arena. And many will fail right from the start. So sit back and relax because I’m going to share with you the complete formula for writing successful blog posts.
Here are the steps you should take to continually write great articles on you blog:
1. Before you even open of a word doc and start writing, you need to conduct some basic research first. It’s “VERY” important that you research the keyword phrases that people are using to look for information online. This will help you in deciding what niche is best for you. Chances are that any niche you participate in will have some competition now. There simply are too many people out there looking to do the same thing you are. So… this is your chance to really dominate any particular niche area. Keep in mind that you should start out by targeting the low competition key words first, and then move on the higher competitive words.
However, if you decide to go for the higher competitive keywords, your chances of getting listed on the first page of Google will be slim. So if you are going to go for it, you need to write like a mad man… eager and willing to go the extra mile.
2. I suggest that you write “how to” articles. I cannot express myself any more passionately when I tell you that they are truly designed to drive traffic. Every successful blog will include “how to” articles at least 3 times a week. Simply write an article that is a step by step guide or illustration. People like to be shown each step in a process because they feel like they understand it much better when the steps are shown to them.
3. Also, some people will come from different backgrounds and cultures and it will be difficult for them to read your blog. I suggest that you either download a “translation plugin” or simply write for a 4th grader. This will make it easy for anyone to read your blog posts and get the information they need. Keep in mind that you should also leave out any words that are too hard to understand as this will just make your readers upset.
4. OK… my favorite thing to do would be to use video, images, and other social branding tools. You see, writing blog articles that have only text can be boring. So, make it your priority to spice things up a little by including relevant videos, images and discussion plugins. The amount of people that read your blog will increase drastically if you use these tools every time you post.
