How to Get Your First 100 Subscribers to Your List
I am sure you have heard the line, "The money is in the list". Well, if you are just beginning, you are probably wondering how to get even 100 people on your list. There are three simple strategies that you can do to get 100 subscribers on your list. The good thing is that all three of these are free and do not take long to do.
Writing a 400 word article that is related to your blog and posting in on article directories is a great way to get subscribers to your list. At the end of the article, the resource box includes a link back to your blog. Hopefully, you have an opt-in box on each page of your website. You can also include another link. I suggest that this is a link to your opt-in page. Here is an example of a resource box.
"Now that you've learned how to [insert topic your article was about] I would like to invite you to check out my blog at [link]. what your free give-away is about]. "
Once you submit your article to several article directories, you should start to see a steady stream of new visitors to your blog and some of those visitors will sign up for your list and become subscribers.
Commenting On Blogs
Another way to get traffic and subscribers to your list is to comment on popular blogs in your niche. Find 10 blogs that you resonate with and visit them several times a week. Leave a great comment by adding to the conversation or sharing something of value. Do not write "Great post, enjoyed reading it." Also, do not try to sell your products or affiliate products.
If you write helpful comments, the readers of the blog will be more inclined to click on your name and read your blog to learn more about you. This gives you an opportunity to sign up for you list if you have an opt-in box on the sidebar of your blog.
Participating in Forums
Last but not least, find 3 to 5 active forums in your niche and start participating. You want to make sure that these are active forums. There should be at least 10 posts a day if the forum is really active and has a loyal readership. Sign up for the forums. Make sure you include your picture and fill out your profile. A lot of them also allow you to create a link back to your blog.
Once in the forum, answer questions and try to be helpful. If you are allowed to include a signature file, invite the readers to check out your blog and sign up for your free give-away. Do not spend more than 15 minutes a day in the forum. Participating actively in the forum should lead to a few new subscribers. As you become more of an expert in the forum, your subscriptions will increase.
Article writing, blog commentary and forum participation are three easy things you can do even as a newbie to get your first 100 subscribers.
