How Do Bloggers Make Money? Extreme Techniques of How Bloggers Make Money
Here’s how bloggers make money from scratch…
I’ve recently been under some extended training about how bloggers make money, and I’d like to pass along what I’ve learned to you. As a baby boomer woman, it’s not always easy for me to just “get this information through osmosis” as it appears the kids do these days. It is therefore my passion and mission to get the information out to as many people as possible who appear to be “in my shoes” that it really is possible to, yes, learn how bloggers make money.
Here are the basics of that what you need to remember when you learn how bloggers make money…
Get your blog setup. This really isn’t as hard or expensive as it sounds. Personally, I like to use a team blog site because all of the work is already done with the setup. All I do is upload my picture and type a bio about myself. And, it gets way more traffic than a new site that nobody’s seen yet.
Put value in your blog. Just think about what you would like to search for and learn about when you do a Google search. Are you a single mom who needs advice on juggling all the balls in the air? Are you a retiree with plenty of time but needs a productive project to pass the time and make money on the side? Whatever is going on in your life, pass along your experiences and advice on how you deal with your problems. This will build a rapport with your reader as they identify with your problems.
Determine your target market. Based on your own life, who do you want your readers to be? What would they be searching for? Think about what your reader wants and think up a “keyword phrase” to base your blog post on.
Do your keyword phrase research. Establish a free account on adwords.google.com and go to the keyword tool feature. When you type in your suggested keyword phrase, the system will let you know what phrases are similar to your phrase and how many people are searching for it. You won’t want to waste your time posting about something that nobody’s searching for!
Here’s how bloggers make money from the blog…
Establish your system. Now you have the basics, but you need a system and lay out goals. You just need to be consistent. I like to say “plan your act and act your plan”. Tentative goals will get you nowhere. You need to lay out exactly what your plan to do, and stick with the system. Don’t get hung up on all different kinds of techniques; you’ll only get overwhelmed and confused. Spend a little time learning each day, and applying what you learn to making money blogging. The more you learn, the more you’ll find to write about.
Establish your goals. This can be done by working backwards. You want to make by blogging… how much do you want to make? For example, if I determine I want an extra $1000 per month, and I know that what I’m selling will bring me $125 per month, then I know that I will need only ten sign-ups to bring in that cash ($125 x 10 = $1250, less my expenses of $145/mo = $1105). Now, I need to figure my conversions. I know that I get approximately two sales for every 100 leads, so I would need to get roughly 500 leads to reach my goal. Now, if I’m getting 2 leads a day, that means it would take me about 8½ months to reach my goal. But I know that two leads a day will increase as I increase my blogging. Why? Because I’m blogging daily, and I already know that 50 posts has drawn in two leads per day, so 100 posts will bring in four per day, and so on… you get the idea.
Link all keyword phrases to another blog or capture page. Also, YouTube videos are great to link to. The reason why is, that YouTube has an extremely low Alexa score (that means it ranks high on Google). The higher the page rank of what you link to, the higher your blog post will rank on Google, and the more likely it is to be seen. Make sure that you don’t try to sell your product in the post, but instead make reference to it in a way that connects. For example, if you’re selling some miracle berry juice, then tell the story of how this juice lowered the blood pressure of someone you know, and then link “click here to discover the miracle that saved John’s life”.
