I am far from a being some internet “Guru” or some internet millionaire (although that is the goal!). But I do know that to run a successful business online we must have proper systems in place. Have a “gift” or something of VALUE to give to your prospective client. This may come in the form of a report, an ebook, or a lesson. If is is a report or eBook you have written then that’s even better as it shows you know your market and radiates leadership and knowledge.
Have a capture page. A capture page or squeeze page is essential for a successful email marketing campaign. This squeeze page should have an eye grabbing headline, some bullet points, and a strong call to action. The headline should be big and noticeable. The bullet points will point out what your client is about to receive. And the call to action is obviously when you ask them to submit their contact information.
Have a series of emails to send out to your new prospects. The first 3 emails you send out should be structured as follows. First email is the confirmation email. In this email you thank your prospect and congratulate them for taking action and at the same time send them the download link to your product, or instructions on claiming their free gift. Second email the next day should contain further instructions on claiming their gift and ask if there are any questions or concerns with receiving their free information. Also in this second email you will lightly pitch your product or affiliate offer. Third email ask if they need any assistance or help with receiving their product. You should add all the different ways they can get in touch with you wether its email, social media, or even your personal phone number.
Following the above order of emails will establish you as a leader who is truly wanting to help them. This will increase their trust with you. It will keep them from opting out. And possibly buy from you in the near future.
