Blogging to Increase Your Visibility Online – How to Write a Blog Post That Will Boost Your Profits
If you are blogging to help build your business, whether it is offline or online, then you understand the fundamental principles of getting your name out there. This is referred to as visibility, and your blog is the best way to do this over time.
Blogging is a way to market yourself while still connecting to other people from around the world. You need a strategy for posting to your blog, to make it stand out from other blogs in your niche. One way to do this is to read everything that is being blogged about in your field. Subscribe to these other blogs so that you can get a feel for what the bloggers are doing. Comment on any posts that are relevant to what you are doing. Add to the conversation and connect with these people who are active online.
You will also want to offer something of value to your readers, besides the information included in your posts. I like to prepare e-courses and short reports that people can download and learn from.
You can also write a flagship post, which is simply a long and detailed post, about five to six hundred words in length. This post should contain as much valuable information on your niche topic as possible. Then you can write additional posts over the next week or so, and write about various aspects of what you wrote about in the flagship post. Be sure to link back to the flagship post, in order to build links back and forth within your blog. All of this is important in terms of search engine optimization, so that your blog is indexed by the search engines and can be found more easily.
