Article Marketing Tips – Why You Need to Write About Topics You Are an Expert In
One of the biggest reasons someone fails in article marketing is because they spend their time on topics they are not an expert in. When you do that, there are a lot of things that happen. You can get bored easily because you are not genuinely interested in the topic, and your lack of expertise on the topic will probably show to more experienced readers. Article marketing is an amazing way to get targeted traffic, but it’s even more amazing when you write about topics that are your bread and butter.
Your articles will be more powerful if you write about topics that you are an expert in. Your personality will show and people will get more involved in your articles as a result.
For myself, I am very good at building lists, article marketing and driving traffic. I am also very good at creating quick profits online. That’s why I write about Internet marketing mainly. But I also have articles in other niches using pen names, however I only write about topics I know about and have an interest in. I wouldn’t write articles about dog care because I know nothing about that and have no interest in it (no offence to dog owners).
So before you get started in making money from articles, and getting all the traffic that comes with it, you might want to sit down and think what your expertise is. If you are good public speaker, write about that. Build a mailing list in that market and develop your own public speaking information product such as an ebook. If you are into traveling, build a mailing list in that market by using articles to generate traffic. The more interest you have in the topic, the more staying power you will have.
