5 Key Elements For a Successful Internet Marketing Training Program
How long have you looked for a rock solid online marketing training program? Were you almost to the point where you wanted to give up like me? I looked for months and spent hours trying to find the right program. When I found it, I couldn’t believe why others hadn’t created such a program. I am a believer that success always has a blueprint so I wrote down five key elements that I thought you should consider when looking for a training program for Internet Marketing (IM).
The first key element is, There must be a plan!
There is so much material to learn about online marketing, unless you have a solid plan you will become lost in the abyss of information. Though some online marketing training will differ slightly due to techniques and marketing strategies there should always be a healthy flow from the basics of understanding the industry, to setting up a marketing campaign and then tracking your results. I have seen some training programs that when you download their information there isn’t a clear step by step process. You are left guessing where to begin and eventually end up discouraged with the lack of professionalism and out another hard earned dollar!
The second key element is Implementation!
Learning something is one thing, but putting it into practice is another. A good Internet Marketing Training program will have you implement what it teaches right away! Just like anything else in life Practice makes Progress! For a while I was dealing with so-called companies that said they were going to help me from start up to my first sale, teaching me all the nuts and bolts along the way. The only thing I became better at was recognizing what the scam was.
A solid training program should break things down for you week by week. They should have tasks and goals that you are to accomplish related to building your business, not theirs! There should also be a very clear way to contact a support person for feedback on the training and any guidance needed in terms of your plan. And by the end you should have set up, at the minimum, a marketing campaign which at the very least is driving traffic to your sites but better yet making sales. At the end of my second week with no prior knowledge of Internet Marketing I had set up two campaigns and had traffic to both of them. Not bad for someone who knew nothing!
The Third key element is Technology!
Am I alone with this one! I don’t know about you but there have been days when I feel like I have just found a new galaxy on the internet and I am completely lost. Going off into the internet world for someone who is brand new to the industry of IM can be very, very time consuming. I am here to work on building a business not wasting time.
A solid Internet Marketing training program understands the amount of time that can be spent online researching all the different tools needed. They should have all the necessary tools available to design and implement your marketing campaign. If they do not, be careful it could be a scam! I was amazed after all my searching the amount of tools I had available when I went through my training program!
The Fourth key element is Research!
Research is key! It is called “marketing” for a reason. I found that there are hundreds of things that you can create a marketing campaign for. The key is being able to know how to market the item. The way I started was with something that I love. Once I understood the basics I started to expand.
Knowing how to research your desired product and its market is going to make a huge difference in your success. Truthfully anyone can get online today and write about anything they want. Believe me I did it through blogs. A few months ago I set up a couple blogs and did not have any visitors. Through my thorough training of IM I came to understand the importance of research with “keywords” and how to research products that are successful online. That alone made a world of difference for me.
The Fifth key element is Community!
I would like to paraphrase the quote of John Paul Getty who once said that he would rather have 1% of 100 people than 100% of himself. To bring this into context for IM if you want to become successful then you need to get to know those who are already successful. There are many things in life that we try to do alone but truthfully most of the time they could have been done better and quicker if there were more people involved.
The last key element that I found to be important with an IM training program is a community or a forum. You need a forum where you can post questions and get solid answers from people who have the experience. I can’t tell you the amount of time I saved when it came to learning just by reading a forum within the training program. Whenever I had a question I would go to the forum and run a search. If I needed clarification I would add a thread and “BOOM BABY!” there were two or three answers. Listen, there is no reason for you to do this alone, especially if you have the right Internet Marketing Training program. You can do this, you really can. You just need to work with the right training program!
