Internet Marketing Strategies – Make Money For Other People

People ask me all the time how to make money online. There are thousands of ways you can, but one of the fastest…and one of the best internet marketing strategies…is to make money for other people first! I know that sounds backwards…but if you focus on helping the other guy you can actually make money, build your list and have a successful online business-all at the same time!

Identify Them

First you identify people who are in your niche, right? Who are the people that you most want to be like? Who is having the kind of success you would like to have?

There may be a couple different levels of “players” in your niche…just write down the names of anyone that you admire…who you want to be like, say in a year, or in a couple years.

What Products to Promote

Next, take that list and person by person, “guru” by “guru”, figure out what they are selling that you really like…that will be useful to the people on your list. Just because you think they are fantastic doesn’t necessarily mean that their products will be a great fit, so be as objective as you can. Put yourself in your customers’ shoes…will this product really be a benefit to them.

If the answer is yes, write it down. Once you have that list you are ready to move to the next step.

Join Their Affiliate Programs

This is a simple step…it is almost always free…and it is key. Getting on their affiliate program does two things for you-one, when you promote their products or services you will get a commission and two, they track who is making sales for them so you will get on their radar!

Build Your List

Be sure to build your list…there are lots of list building methods…article marketing, SEO, pay-per-click…the list goes on. Pick a method, focus on it and build your list so you have someone to promote products to.

Make Them Money

All the previous points lead to this one-make money for the people you admire. They are going to sit up and listen if all of a sudden they are paying you a big commission check. They are going to love it, because that means you are making them money!

Now it is Your Turn

So now, you have a great product and you are ready to approach the people you have been promoting about them promoting you!

When you approach them, they are going to say to themselves, “Has this person ever mailed for me?” and because you have…and made them money, they are going to be more receptive to mailing for you then if you just approached them out of the blue.

This is real life…real business…and that’s what internet marketing strategies are about-real life things that work! If you do people a favor…if you make them money, nine times out of ten they are going to want to return the favor…they want to help you succeed. One of the beauties about this strategy is that while you are building your list and making money for the other guy…you’re making money, too!

Internet Marketing Tips – Review Of 20 Ways To Make 100 Dollars A Day

I don’t usually review products, but in this case, I am going to make an exception. By now, you have probably heard of 20 Ways To Make 100 Dollars A Day. Maybe not. In either case, I’m going to give you the straight scoop on the product so that you can make an informed decision about purchasing it or not.

The book is 247 pages long. It contains 20 case studies of real people, not gurus, who are using various methods to earn at least 100 dollars a day. Some are making a lot more, but everybody in the book is making at least that much.

Some of the names you will probably recognize. Some may draw an absolute blank. The author who put these case studies together really did a great job of getting hold of a diverse lot.

The methods discussed for generating this income run a wide scale. There is info product creation, selling on Ebay, software creation, membership sites, short term and long term plans, affiliate marketing and so on. I can’t think of anything that has been left out. There is certainly something in this book for everyone.

Pros – The book is very well written. All the methods are written in an easy to follow, step by step process, which is how I create my own products. This is one of the most attractive features of the book. Most of the methods don’t require a large capital outlay to do. Some require almost no money at all. There are some excellent tips in the book on how to put a business together, whatever model you choose, without going broke in the process.

Cons – There is almost no mention of advertising methods, which is critical for any business. The book is more focused on how to create a business, rather than how to promote it. So without promotional knowledge, this book will only be so much help to you. Also, because there are 20 methods and it’s only 247 pages, some of the methods don’t go into a lot of detail. So it’s not for beginners, at least in my opinion.

Overall, I give it an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. It’s not perfect and I wish there was more focus on how to actually promote your business, but overall, it’s a good read. Even I learned a few things and I’ve been doing this for a few years now. If you’re not totally new to marketing online, you will probably get more out of this book than a total newbie. But even those first starting out will get some great ideas out of this book. Just pick up a book on advertising methods and you’ll be fine.

Learning Internet Marketing – How to Learn Internet Marketing

Learning internet marketing can be a challenge for anyone just beginning to get their feet wet. The new internet marketer is most likely going to be overwhelmed by the vast amount of material to learn. Fortunately it does not have to be this way if the beginning internet marketer knows what steps to take first.

Internet marketing is a broad term and can be categorized by several different types of marketing. It can be easily defined in the most general sense as the marketing of products or services via the internet. Common types of internet marketing refer to the function they carry out. Most commonly you’ll hear affiliate marketing, email marketing, and search engine marketing.

As an internet marketing beginner I recommend sticking to affiliating of other people’s products. This means taking a merchants products and selling it for them to the people who desire or need them. Affiliate programs are widespread throughout the internet. Affiliate networks act as agents between merchants and affiliates can be a good place to look for something to start marketing.

It’s important to understand the exact role the affiliate plays within the buyer and seller relationship. To understand this concept you’ll need to realize that people use the internet to solve their problems. As an effective affiliate you act in service to the buyer satisfying their needs and creating value. Value creation is key in driving people with problems to the solution. Relevant value is created by giving the buyer exactly what they desire from the content of your site. So for example, if your selling a weight loss product and a buyer Google’s “Weight Loss Review”, a relevant affiliate site would review the different weight loss products to satisfy their problem.

As an affiliate you’ll need a medium to deliver you message on. This medium can be a blog, a website, or even a forum post. You’ll also need a way to generate traffic to your medium. This can be done in a variety of ways including pay-per-click advertising and social networks.

Internet Marketing Tips – The Right And Wrong Way To Copy

It never fails. You see a successful site pop up on the Internet, and days later you’ve got a half dozen clones out there selling the same thing. There’s no originality. They just copy the site, almost word for word in some cases, and try to make money off of somebody else’s idea. This is no only wrong, but it’s counterproductive to what you’re actually trying to do. In this article, I am going to show you the right way to copy somebody. Yes, you can actually use ideas, since ideas can’t be copyrighted. The key is to add some originality to what you’re doing.

Let’s take an example, albeit a fictional example. But I think you’ll more than get the idea.

Let’s say, for argument sake, that somebody comes out with a site on how to make money on the Internet by selling ad space using pixels. You buy a pixel and your site link gets put up on that pixel. Okay, as you probably know, this has actually been done, and it’s been done to death. Everybody and their grandmother jumped on this thing after the first kid came out with the idea. But they all did the same exact thing. They sold pixels. There was no originality in the concept at all.

But what if we did this? What if we sold flash video space. That’s right. We offered to place the advertiser’s flash video up on a 500 pixel block and on the page you could have up to ten videos. For one thing, the exposure for a flash video will be a lot greater than a link on a pixel. Also, because there won’t be as many ads per page, the chances of somebody seeing your video will be a lot greater. So what we’ve done is taken a concept and put our own little twist on it in order to make it unique.

The key is thinking outside the box. Look at what somebody is doing and see if you can’t add your own little twist to it. If you sit down and think hard enough, you will come up with something. The main thing is not to outright copy the idea and make no substantial changes to it whatsoever. That’s just plain theft and it doesn’t do you any good anyway. Why? Because you’re just reminding people of how much better the original is anyway. Make YOUR creation better than the original.

That’s what separates the successful marketers from the rest of the pack.

Internet Marketing Strategies – How to Apply the 80 – 20 Rule

There is so much which we have heard about the 80/20 rule. Let us see the ways in which this rule can be applied to the internet marketing strategies.

What is this 80/20 rule? This means 80% of the success in the internet marketing and 20% of the skills of the people. In the internet marketing, there is a huge difference between the people who are successful in this market and the people who have not yet seen any success in this. But the second set of people is still struggling because they know that they have already won the 80% of the battle. As they are the one who are entering the world of internet marketing. So 80% is contributed by the exact mindset of the people. Half of the battle is won if you have right mindset and approach towards the success of the new business.

In this situation there are few people who think that they should pay attention to the how to part of the business and for this they get engaged by learning the planning. They do not have proper mind set and when they face a small mistake, they give up from their work. Another way of applying 80/20 rule is by saying that 80% of the revenue will be generated from the 20% of the customers. Now how to conceptualize this? This means that there might be many customers in the email marketing system but there are only few stable customers who are responsible for the regular cash flow and the revenue of your internet business. They are one who get attach with your products on the other hand there are those customers who just buy once or twice from your site and then move on with others.

Third major way of applying 80/20 rule is that 80% of your project will fail and 20% will be successful. It is known that some of the best marketers fail 8 times for every 10 times. So keeping in mind this thing, you should never stop your work. Never try to give up the work by facing failures.

Internet Marketing Training For Beginners

Once the decision has been made to become an internet marketer some training will be required. Internet marketing training made easy can help avoid the mistakes that others have made previously. Just with any new job or venture there is a learning curve and marketing online is no different. So what type or training is needed and how does one go about getting this training?

Finding the Right Program

There are many training programs available ranging from free into the thousands. The truth is for many just starting out they do not have the funds to train with the pros. The good news is they do not have to. Good training does not have to be expensive training.

There is a great product available that not only trains you in internet marketing, but shows you how to profit from the training. It sounds too good to be true but it is possible to learn and earn from the same product. So even if you do not have a product to sell, you will still be able to start an online business.

How Does This Work

Training comes in many forms but videos are by far the best way to learn. It is the next best thing to being there live. Learning with video allows you to implement the instruction as you watch, allowing you to stop, replay, and even make notes on important topics.

Unlike many videos that discuss topics that you have no clue about, these videos are easy to understand and in a language that was intended for people just like you who are just starting out. In addition to videos, how about a free website to start your business? No need to learn HTML coding or worry about graphic design, etc.

To top it all off, a killer sales page, ebooks, and downloadable software makes this program one of the best on the market today. Remember, this is easy to understand instruction that you can do even with little or no experience.

One of the great things about this type of model is that you know people are already interested. There are a wide variety of individuals trying and failing online. This does not mean that they do not have a good plan, they just do not know how to implement it. As you know people buy on emotion and impulse. They have a problem that needs solving or they see something that they must have. This fits well into the online marketing plan of reselling information because those who want to succeed at internet marketing but have failed need to fill that emotion and impulse void.

The Recycle Business

You do not have to be a teacher to resell this product. In fact, you do not have to know anything other than the program works. You know this because you used the videos, you created the website and used the sales letter. What better testimonials than your own. Take what you learned and create a video to add to your site. Let others know that they can learn from this program just as you have.

Even if you do not have a product, use this information to create an online business because the master resale rights allows you to resell the material. If you did not have something to sell, now you do. Take what you learned, sell it to others, and profit. You know it works, so there are no worries about wondering if people will buy. You just show them how you got started and how it can work for them and there you have your online business.

Internet Marketing Tips – The 3 T’s

This is the second in a serious of articles that I hope will be entertaining as well as informative. In this one, I’m going over the three T’s of Internet marketing. Can you guess what they are? I’m sure one of them you can spot right away. And that’s the one I’m going to start off with. Keep reading to find out what the other two are.

Okay, at the top of the list (fanfare please)…TRAFFIC. Yeah, I bet you saw that coming. It may be one of the most IMPORTANT parts or Internet marketing…generating traffic. Ah, but this is where so many people drop the ball. It’s not just enough to generate traffic, even if you can generate tons of it. Imagine I went to a forum that had 100,000 members interested in pig farming and I went there with a signature that said, “Visit My Site For A Big Surprise” and I managed to get all 100,000 members to go and when they got there they found the following headline.

“Discover The Only Natural Cure For Acne Ever Created.”

How many of those 100,000 people do you think would be interested in my product? Maybe, just out of dumb luck, 10 of them happen to have kids with acne.

Point is, traffic, if it’s not targeted (that’s the key word) is absolutely worthless. You need to go after the people who are going to be interested in what YOU have to sell. Anybody can go out there and use traffic generation methods that will get you millions of visitors, if that’s what you want. But don’t expect many sales. So in this case, we actually have two T’s combined…targeted and traffic. Put them together and you have quite a killer combination. But for the purposes of this article, we’ll still count that as just one T.

Number two on my list is another big one…testing. Oh brother. How many people consider this only as an afterthought, it at all? Admit it. You toss up a sales page, hope and pray for the best and then, when it totally bombs out, you say, “heck with it” and don’t even bother to test another version of it? Or worse, you manage to put up a sales page that converts at 1% and say, “That’s good enough” and don’t bother to try to improve it. Laziness gets the best of many of us.

Testing is CRITICAL if you’re going to maximize the results of anything that you do, whether it’s list building, article marketing, PPC or whatever. You can’t just toss the first thing up there and say, “This’ll have to do.” Sometimes it doesn’t do anything at all and you have to keep tweaking it to get it just right. Don’t EVER forget this.

Finally, we have tracking. Testing and tracking kind of go hand in hand. The only way you can accurately test a sales page or anything for that matter is by tracking your results. I can’t even begin to tell you how many tracking links I’ve got out there on the Internet. I have lost count already. This way, I know what ads are effective and what ads are bombing out. I know what products convert well and what products stink at converting. If you are NOT tracking, you are marketing in the dark…period.

There you have it…the three T’s of Internet marketing.

Don’t EVER forget them…not that you could.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim.

Internet Marketing – Advantages and Disadvantages

Everyone seems to be jumping on the internet marketing bandwagon lately. In the race to get their business online, many successful businesses forget to ask themselves some tough questions about what they are doing, what their expectations are and what their plan is to meet those expectations.

The internet can be a powerful tool that can put you on solid footing with bigger companies. On the other hand, the other companies may have more money to pay for advertising. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind as you analyze your internet marketing strategy.

Advantage of Internet Marketing

– your store is open, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Further, your customers are worldwide in reach, and can shop anytime that they want to

– the cost of spreading your message is next to nothing. Emailing your subscription base is more oftne cheaper than sending a letter through the mail

– updating your subscribers can be done almost instantly through email. Visitors to your website can get up to the minute information on each visit. If you are having a sale, your customers can start shopping at the discounted prices literally as soon as they open their email

– if you have an information sensitive business, such as a law firm, newspaper or online magazine, you can deliver your products directly to your customers without having to use a courier

Disadvantages of Internet Marketing

– online marketing is not free. The cost of software, hardware, wed site design, maintenance of your site, online distribution costs and of course, time, all must be factored into the cost of providing your service or product.

– slightly over 50% of households shop online. While that number will continue to grow, you are reaching less than two out of three households.

– the internet is still regarded as a source of information gathering for the majority of your customers. Of the number of visitors to your site, the vast majority of visitors who are motivated to buy will do so in person. Many people prefer the live interaction when they buy. If you have a small business with one location, this may deter customers from buying.

– easier to have outdated information on your site, thus timing of updates is critical

– there is no replacement for good old fashioned customer service. The majority of internet marketers lack customer service and inquiry response programs. As a result, many online visitors to your site will already have painted your site as poor service before they have even contacted you. The majority of websites also have poor navigation, which makes it difficult for your visitor to find what they are looking for. Many sites were created with a marketing view, not a customer service point of view.

– is your site secure? Does your customer know this? There are many incorrect stereotypes about the security of the internet out there. As a result, many of your visitors will not want to use their credit card to make a purchase. The fear of having their credit card info stolen is a clear and present danger in the minds of your visitors

– there is a lot of competition for your product already out there. By the time your visitor finds you, they have already been clicking many links. Unless they can find what they are looking for quickly, they are gone.

– many web visitors expect something for free. What do you have to offer them?

There are many other pros and cons of internet marketing. Its important for you to consider each when creating your internet marketing strategy. Each of the disadvantages can be overcome, but only if you view the customer experience from the eyes of your customer, not as an internet marketer.
