Using Affiliate Tools to Improve Your Conversions

The Product Converts, Now You Need The Tools

It's a good feeling when you find a product you believe in. Knowing that a product will sell, if you promote it right, will give a marketer some extra motivation to stick with the program. So the next step, is getting the product in front of some traffic. But you are going to need some tools. And each product needs its own special set of tools. Different products, and different markets depend on unique marketing tools for ultimate conversion.

As an affiliate, we depend on merchants to provide certain tools that make selling there product easier. And a successful merchant also knows what it takes to generate sales. Combine these two factors, and you will have a merchant that knows what it takes to help their affiliates succeed.

Some tools that the merchant should provide are, but are not limited to:

1. List of targeted keywords

2. Proven sales materials, including ads, emails, banners, and product images

3. Product data feeds- datafeed is a catalog of the merchants products, that the affiliate can use to set up there own 'storefront'

Those are the basic tools that you can usually find, either at the original sales page, (check the bottom of the page), or at a specialized affiliate web page. Dont worry a good merchant will want you to have these tools at your disposal.

But there are a couple of tools that you should already have. Remember, its your business as well, so investing in the right tools is a good idea. A couple things you should have are a Link Cloaker and a Link Tracker.

Link Cloaker – Simply turns your long, ugly, affiliate link into a shorter, better looking link. This way, people cant recognize the link as an affiliate link and bypass it, which will cost you sales.

Link Tracker – Use the link tracker to keep track of which advertising methods are working the best. Click Bank will offer you the option of adding a code at the end of your affiliate links. For instance, if you are showing an ad for your affiliate product on a forum in your Signature, you could add "fm" at the end of the link you place on the forum. The same goes for if you are doing PPC. You can use a separate track link for each ad. Then you will know which ads are converting to sales.

One of the most important techniques we do as marketers, is TRACK. Track everything possible. If you do not, you will, unintentionally waste a lot of money on strategies that are not working, just because you did not know.

These are the tools that affiliates need to be successful. You can find an effective use for everyone of these tools. Not to mention, using things like banners and product images on your sites and blogs, increase your product visibility, while giving you a professional look.

Extra – Its also a good idea to use a planner or something that keeps track of your projects and affiliate links. I use my word pad for everything. Its really easy to just pull it up real quick and add things like codes, passwords, receipts, and anything else that you would not want to lose or forget. So make sure you use the tools, they raise conversions, and they might even save you some time as well.

Social Network Marketing Vs "Old School" Network Marketing Methods

Well, it seems that all over the "web" now days you hear, or see, WEB 2.0, or attraction marketing. It is not "new", yet it is in its infancy in terms of the web and network marketing. So, what are the real differences? Let's "delve" into it, shall we? In the "old school" model which started way back when, it was a common practice to "sign up" a "prospect" (by selling them a "kit") some of you will remember those! After teasing into the box and looking at the goodies inside, you were told to make a list of everyone you know. Your "upline" told you to call everyone because they all need what we have, they just do not know it yet.

So basically the old school method was to make a list and call everyone on it. Problem is, most everyone has been BOMBARDED with the "best" opportunity already and everyone's business is "The Best", just ask them. So after you call everyone on your list, then what? The three foot rule applications! What, that's just crazy. Not everyone is looking for something. Fact is some people are just happy being broke, or just getting by.

So any way, the old school methods have been tried and tested over time, and because of that fact alone, it's time for a change. Enter Attraction / Social Network Marketing! Now, there are a lot of "methods" out there, just Google it, everyone has a formula that will get you $ 10,000 a day, buy this and WHAM, you are being inundated with "prospects." So how do you know what's good and what's to be avoided? Good question, fact is, you probably can not get to $ 10,000 a day, without some effort.

So, do your due diligence and look into the program you seek. So, what am I saying? Find a program that TEACHES you HOW TO, with videos, and tutorials that are easy to follow, and that are actually working. Slick ads and magic formulas are a dime a dozen. I have found one that literally gives you STEP BY STEP directions, easy to follow formulas, and actually gets results. And it will not cost you a year's pay to do so. Due Diligence! It can and does work (attraction Marketing), so good luck, and we'll see you in the funny papers.

Successful Marketing Ideas

The search for successful marketing ideas is, happily, an endless one. And there are many opportunities to learn from the search as the days turn into weeks which evolve into months.

And while great direct marketing specialists and webmasters with superior internet marketing ploys that they use on every occasion, sometimes the most successful marketing ideas are the simplest ones. Like quick thank you notes, and telephone calls and emails making sure clients and customers are 'all set' and have no needs at the moment.

When businesses figure out that customers are long term investments that need to be 'watered' in order to grow, they start putting on more of a human face. More of the human touch, even for the largest of companies, does wonders from a perception versus reality framework.

So while there will now always be a need for the less human marketing devices (like the autoresponder and the email and the internet and the old Blackberry) it is more and more true that companies are figuring out (on their search) that the most successful marketing ideas all have fingerprints to them.

More real handwriting on sales letters. More open invitations to stop by the corporate environment to see how things really run. More honest exposure. All of which allows the company to be seen as real, and living and breathing.

Crossing the boundary from cold calculating monolith to understanding entity is one of the MOST successful marketing ideas there ever was … and ever will be.

Do not be afraid to go and visit the web sites of many of the Fortune 100 companies and verify that what I'm saying is coming more and more every day. And what a great thing that is!

The Prosperous Affiliate Merry-Go-Round

In the affiliate world, just as in the rest of the world,
what goes around coming around.

Here's where I'm coming from. . .

I just finished reading one article too many where the
author proclaims that people do not like to click on what
appears to be an affiliate link.

Why not? Well, here is how the reason of the potential
buyer supposedly goes:

• I'll bet the price is jacked up.

• Maybe the guarantee will not be honored.

• What if they do not give me all the bonuses?

• Why should some middleman make a buck off me?

So this guy takes his paranoia and stinginess and trudges
off to find the original link. End of story.

Do you see anything wrong with this?

I see everything wrong with it. Or at least now I do, once
I stopped to ponder why I was doing the same thing!

I believe this situation is on the verge of changing and very
quickly. Here's why …

For one thing, as more and more people are earning money by
promoting other people's products, affiliate marketing is
becoming more broadly considered as a legitimate business form.

This is in large measure thanks to Rosalind Gardner, creator
of the Super Affiliate Handbook.

(Notice how proudly I displayed my affiliate link?)

Now, as increasing numbers of people engage in this type of
promotion, it is rapidly becoming common knowledge that if
you buy from an affiliate, you are in actuality buying
directly from the owner or creator of the product. Here,
the following holds true:

• The price to you, the potential buyer, is the same,
regardless of how you got there.

• The guarantee, which is being issued from the product
owner, is still valid.

• You are set up to receive all bonuses, advertised and
unadvertised, that the owner offers. (In fact, buying from
an affiliate might even net you some extra bonuses!)

And so now, that leaves only the final objection, "Why
should some middleman make a buck off me? "

On the Threshold of a New Paradigm

Living as we are, on the eve of a new level of expanded
consciousness, here are some notions that are quickly
gaining wider acceptance:

• We attract what we focus on.

• We create our own reality.

• We attract to ourselves the same kind of energy that we
send out.

This Law of Attraction is no longer considered as some
paranormal fluke. Thought power is gaining acceptance as
true and verifiable by quantum physics and our own empirical
evidence.

So what does that have to do with our potential buyer's
final objection?

Well, when I stopped to examine why I was guilty of
automatically avoiding using an affiliate link, I discovered
that there was no valid reason for doing so. I mean, being
that the bottom line to me is all the same, why should I
want to deny someone his or her fair commission?

I had to admit that such unwarranted stinginess could only
be due to an insidious belief in scarcity. I felt a little
ashamed of myself, but not one to flog myself, I immediately
changed my focus to how to alter my beliefs to something
more desirable.

And what I found is a win-win-win situation.

If a marketer brings a product to my attention or convinces
me of its value or presents it to me at the time I am
willing to buy it, this affiliate has clearly earned his or
her commission. And it's a pretty sweet deal all the way
around:

• The owner is happy because he has just earned money
for a sale he would probably not have otherwise made.

• The affiliate is happy because his marketing efforts are
paying off.

• I get my product AND I put money into the pockets of
at least two people.

And that makes me happy, because sending money into
circulation sets me up for being on the receiving end. And
giving a figurative pat on the back to the affiliate marketer
raises my vibration to attract the same type of rewards in
my life. And you know what else? It just FEELS so much
better to do it this way.

I think people are unaware of the many ways that poisonous
thinking can still lurk menacingly in their brains, stuffed
away in odd little pockets of stingy behavior like this.

When you stop to consider that so many of us were raised
by parents or grandsparents who lived through the Great
Depression, it's easy to understand how we may have
inherited more from our families than what meets the eye.

But I digress. Let's just all be part of a prosperity
movement that has no interest in condemning anyone their fair
due. After all, there is plenty to go around for everyone.

Just like a carnival carousel, what goes around coming around.

May your affiliate coffers swell!

The Best Internet Marketing Tips For Business

When you begin your business online, your first step for success should be, training yourself on the top internet marketing techniques, in order to get your business noticed. Knowing how to market your business online is very important to your bottom line. To jumpstart your business, here are some top tips that are sure to help move the revenue needle.

Keep an eye on your competitors, and learn from what they are doing. If looking at their products has you desiring becoming a customer, they are doing the right thing. You should try to use some of their ideas for your own business.

You should look for new products that are not available in stores yet. People will not be able to compare prices with other offers and they will also be interested by the novelty of the product. Make sure you explain why the product is necessary, and why it will become very popular soon. Try the product yourself first to see if there is really a future for it.

A great tip for Internet marketing is to incorporate chat into your web site. Chatting is a great way to connect with people and resolve problems in real time. All you have to do is select a chat program, put a button on your web site, and train someone to use it.

It is important to make the internet marketing experience for your customer as pleasant as possible by providing a website that does not look cheap. If you can not afford a professional website design, consider taking a low cost course at a local county college and spruce up your site with the tips that you learn.

Stay at one domain as long as possible to increase the reliability of your company on searches. The longer you stay at one domain, the higher up you will be on searches. This will allow you to increase your exposure, which goes hand in hand with the increase of sales.

If you want to make it big in the internet marketing world, do not be afraid to outsource work. If you can find someone to do what you need to do in less time than it will take you, try it. That will leave you more time and energy to do things you're great at doing, like coming up with new product ideas or testing new marketing strategies. Do spend time and effort finding quality service and content providers and then, invest in paying them enough to make it worth their time, so they have a reason to keep working with you, of course.

Time is valuable to people. Make sure you're not sending out a bunch of useless emails to your subscribers. The more often you send emails, the more likely they are to unsubscribe. Instead pick a day each week (or every other week) and only send emails on that day unless it's important.

These tips offer you a solid foundation from which to grow your business online. These tips will help build your buzz and absolutely, help generate revenue for your company, no matter if your company is product-driven or services-related. Now is the time to take the next step and utilize these techniques and investigate more opportunities, so that you can take your internet marketing to the next level.

7 Tips For YouTube Users

Although YouTube is likely to change some of these things over time as they improve their systems, here are some tips for effectively using YouTube:

One of the most common is Tube Mogul, which lets you upload one video and it will get distributed to a batch of the top video sharing sites.

I have at least 3 accounts on at least 20 different video sharing sites.

With YouTube specifically, there are some basic things for effective marketing which include:

1 – Ensuring that you include the full URL that you want people to be able to go to the description section (so that it appears as a clickable link next to the video.

2 – YouTube allows you to add annotations after you've uploaded a video, these are good for call outs at particular points in the video, and also for enabling adding a clickable text link on the video itself (usually at the beginning and / or end of the video when you want people to be able to take your prefer action). It's worth testing these to see which get the best conversions.

3 – YouTube provide analytics for the video which are worth checking regularly as they show how much and which parts of the video get viewed most. (obviously those are the parts you would tend to focus on having a strong message or a call to action)

4 – YouTube allow 'tags', effective use of the tags ensure the video gets found more often and more easily.

5 – linking to specific parts of the video. – If you look at the end of a YouTube URL you will often see something like "# t = 31m08s" on the end of the URL? That link will take you 31 minutes and 8 seconds into that video, so if you're referring a person that you want to see a particular piece of the video, this is a good way to do it.

6 – The video title you upload with is just about the largest influencing factor for the number of views it gets.

7 – Thumbnails – Once your video's been processed, three representative video thumbnails will be generated automatically by the system. Once these thumbnails have been generated, you can select one of the them as your video thumbnail. I have seen a pattern in how far into the video the thumbnails are taken from and considered testing having certain content at those points, but not sure if that's too far to go. However, the thumbnail is something people often look at, so worth picking the most suitable one, and testing others. There are tools that will let you pick your thumbnails, so that might be better since different video sites do this differently.

6 Awesome Reasons Affiliate Programs and Online Business is Fantastic!

You wont make millions overnight, but working an online business or affiliate marketing is a great idea! Here's 6 reaons why …

Here are six reasons why having an online business is a great idea.

1. Most online businesses can be started for very little money out of your own pocket. When you compare this to a traditional business it's kind of a no-brainer if you can come up with something you want to do online. In many instances you can even start an online business for free with nothing more than a computer and Internet access.

2. If you have gotten your own offering or product the web has a lot of potential customers and is a good way to do it. If you do not, you can come up with many products to sell in various ways including affiliate marketing. The nice thing about affiliate programs, as an online business is all of your products are provided for you.

3. One of the benefits of using an affiliate program for your online business is that you do not have the inventory in the product. Whether the affiliate merchant is shipping them for you, or you are using drop shipping from another source. You do not have to keep or store the products at all. This is a big savings in term of not having to rent office space or storage space.

4. Another big bonus in affiliate marketing or with an online business is you dont have to ship actual products. Again using the affiliate marketing business model we see that the merchant handles all the shipping for you.

5. There is no backend customer followup either. This is all taken care of for you and if there's any returns those are handled too.

6. One of the reasons that people make so much money with online businesses, is they are always open. Having your own online business means you are open 24/7. Even when you're off on holidays or its the weekend – you are still open for business.

People are able to make purchases from you during the day or during the night. Even when you are sleeping your business is working for you. This could be one of the very best bonuses to having your own online business.

There are heaps of good reasons why an online business is a great idea – these were my top 6.

Residual Income Business Online Mentoring Tips

Do you remember how you felt when you first started working on the internet and how everything seemed so foreign and different to what you were used to doing? This is exactly how inexperienced affiliates will feel when they join your residual income business and most of them will be very glad of your mentorship and assistance.

Below are some online mentoring tips and ideas you can use to help your new affiliates achieve success while at the same time contributing to the success of your own residual income business:

Firstly, always send a welcome email to your new affiliates and let them know you are willing to mentor them and available to help where necessary.

It will help if you can establish what level of internet experience they have so that you are in a better position to assist them.

A free and easy online way to communicate is by downloading and using Skype. As an example, an auto-responder is not the easiest thing in the world to set up if you have no prior experience, so if you both have your browsers open on the same web page you can talk your new affiliate through the areas that are causing problems.

Post regularly to a Getting Started section on your blog with useful tips and hints eg ideas on setting up folders in their email client to file their emails, as well as in their Favorites to save the regularly used urls, time management tips and advice on staying organized.

A series of training emails that can be sent out regularly from your auto-responder is another easy and useful way to provide your enrollments with information that they need to get their internet based home business up and running successfully.

Explain the benefits of starting a blog and show them how they can set up a blog and start the social networking train.

By sending them useful links to help them learn will prevent them wasting valuable time searching for information. For example: a step by step guide to learning html, how to add a stat counter to their site, how to create an author's resource box, how to set up a forum signature, how to open a Google Webmaster Account, how to make a sitemap, etc.

Suggest they search for online directories to submit their website url to create more back links or recommend a directory submitter.

Show them where to find the best resources for choosing their keywords and optimizing their website for the search engines.

Send them links to articles you have written as examples of how to optimize for their keywords and add a resource box.

Offer advice on how to submit their articles, the submission programs available and give them a list of your favorite article directories so that they have a good starting point.

Explain the benefits of and help them with creating a lead capture page so they can also start building their own opt-list.

Forward free e-books that have helped you build your residual income business.

Should your new affiliates start recruiting when they do not have much experience themselves, offer to mentor their new recruits too.

Share the internet marketing ideas and advertising methods that are working for you with your affiliates. Keeping them a closely guarded secret will only hinder the growth of your own residual income business.

Mentor your affiliates to the best of your ability and share your success tips, experience and knowledge and you will experience more success with your own residual income business.

Affiliate Marketing Sales – A Great Way to Earn a Lot of Commission

Affiliate marketing sales are a cornerstone of modern online enterprises. Utilizing the power of affiliate marketing can create fantastic passive income streams to boost the profitability of all advertising based websites. A website that connects visitors to a group of relevant brands, products and services for commission rewards will earn substantively more than similar websites that do not make use of affiliates.

Earning commission through affiliates works by having links from your web site to an affiliate that, when clicked, reports to the affiliate where the traffic was generated from. When a web user uses your links to purchase products on an affiliate's website, a certain percentage of the sale is rewarded to the referring web site. Of course, generating traffic to affiliates is the greatest challenge of affiliate marketing.

To generate traffic to an affiliate, a web site must have engaging content relevant to the products and services that the affiliate has on offer. It is demonstrated that if the content of a web site directly recommends an affiliate in a way that is not aggressively promotional and shows itself to be as objective as possible when making judgments and recommendations.

Different affiliate services have different ways of rewarding referring websites. 80% of affiliate marketing platforms reward referers with Revenue Sharing, also known as Cost Per Sale. This method requires that a customer actually makes a tangible purchase on the site that they have been referred to, a percentage of which is rewarded to the referring website. 95% of the remaining affiliate platforms use a Cost Per Action system, where referrers are rewarded based on how much of the affiliate page the referred customer explored. The remaining 1% of sites use Cost Per Click or Cost Per Mile systems, Cost Per Click is where every time a customer clicks on the link to the affiliate the referrer is rewarded a small sum. Cost Per Mile rewards web sites for simply displaying the advertising to each customer without requiring clicks or sales made.

Overall, affiliate marketing can generate large-scale profits a web site can effectively direct related traffic to well-targeted affiliates. Any web site that does not make use of affiliates is missing out!
